Acadiana Gastroenterology Associates, LLC (AGA) is a specialty specific medical practice that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal care. AGA is comprised of eight physicians that are Board Certified in their respective field of Gastroenterology, including Stephen M. Person, M.D., J. Patrick Herrington, M.D., James C. Bienvenu, M.D., Richard K. Broussard, M.D., Erick A. Salvatierra, M.D., Patrick A. Laperouse, M.D., Christopher P. Herrington, M.D., and Melanie M. Bienvenu, M.D. The Physicians of AGA have been providing the utmost quality of gastrointestinal care to patients for over 30 years in the Acadiana area. Our physicians treat patients in their clinic as well as their outpatient ambulatory surgery center, Acadiana Endoscopy Center, Inc., and select local hospitals.
Acadiana Endoscopy Center, Inc. (AEC) is a state of the art outpatient ambulatory surgical center, specifically designed and designated for gastrointestinal procedures. Acadiana Endoscopy Center, Inc., is licensed by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals and is a Medicare approved facility. Focusing exclusively on outpatient endoscopy services, our facility is able to provide a cost effective alternative, providing high quality, gastrointestinal care when compared to multi-specialty facilities or hospitals. Our facility utilizes some of the most technologically advanced – high definition – endoscopic equipment available. This affords our Gastroenterologists the ability to better detect, evaluate, and treat digestive problems and diseases. Procedures performed at our Facility include Diagnostic Colonoscopy, Screening Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Esophageal Dilatation and Upper GI Endoscopy (EGD).
